A Message for Parents

The most
important game
they’ll ever play.

Your student-athlete is being shaped — by coaches, teammates, scoreboards, social media, and a culture that grades their worth by performance. FCA is the safe space where they discover who they really are.

Why It Matters
Sports provide the relational doorway where identity, character, and faith are modeled and mentored.
What We Do
We come alongside your student-athlete with mentors and teammates who love them for who they are — not what they produce.
You Can Be a Mentor
You can serve as a volunteer mentor for student-athletes on and off of the field. Contact us to learn how.

A relational disciple-making movement.

Prepared for parents who want their student-athlete to grow up anchored — in identity, in community, and in faith.

What They’re Carrying

They look fine on the field.
Inside, many are quietly struggling.

An entire generation of student-athletes appears confident on the outside and feels deeply disconnected on the inside.

Identity gets tied to playing time, stats, scholarships, and the opinions of teammates and strangers online. The questions they’re asking — quietly, constantly — are Am I enough? Am I loved? Do I matter when I’m not performing? Parents feel it. Coaches feel it. Nobody talks about it.

“Sports is not the mission. Sports is the relational doorway.”

Real Families. Real Stories.

Identity, restored.

Every testimony from FCA Massachusetts revolves around the same word. Not athletics. Not events. Not programs. Identity.

01
Ben
From the edge → a family transformed
FCA saved my life.

Ben’s story is the one every parent hopes never has to be told — and the one every parent needs to hear. Through FCA relationships, he found mental-health support, real discipleship, baptism, and a family changed from the inside out.

02
Emi
Performance identity → identity in Christ
Sports is what I did. They didn’t make me who I am. God did that.

For most of his life, Emi believed sports defined him. Success shaped his confidence. Failure shaped his worth. Through FCA huddles, Bible studies, and coaches who consistently showed up for him, he found something deeper than the next game.

03
Rachael
Insecurity & people-pleasing → confidence in Christ
The only opinion that matters to me is the one of my Heavenly Father.

Rachael spent years trapped in insecurity, fear, and the exhaustion of trying to be enough for everyone. Through discipleship and a growing relationship with Jesus, she learned to see herself differently — and walks free of the validation she once chased.

04
Ava
Emotional overwhelm → spiritual awakening
Suddenly I felt saved. I felt like I had a purpose.

Ava came to FCA camp emotionally overwhelmed and spiritually searching. During worship she encountered the love of God personally — and walked away with a new family, a new name, and a new purpose her parents are still watching unfold.

05
Tom
Numbness → a life full of meaning
Now I’m living a life full of purpose, full of passion, full of joy, full of peace.

Tom’s story is proof that long-term discipleship — not a single emotional weekend — is what produces transformation. Scripture, mentors, and consistent presence rewrote his life from the inside out.

06
Galen
Coach discipleship → family & community impact
It started with one coach who kept showing up.

Galen’s story shows what happens when a coach is discipled: a marriage strengthens, a family is changed, athletes are formed, and a community is quietly reshaped — all because of one healthy adult who kept showing up for kids.

The Pathway for Your Athlete

FROM A LIFE OF UNCERTAINTY
TO A LIFE OF FAITH.

FCA isn’t one camp or one good week. It’s a relational pathway your student-athlete can walk from ages 8 to 80 — one consistent community as everything else around them changes.

  1. 01ENGAGE

    Engage Relationally

We ENGAGE relationally through a variety of environments by building genuine trust, sharing our lives and sharing the Gospel. We strive to connect with athletes where they are at on their spiritual journey.

  2. 02EQUIP

    Equip through Discipleship

After cultivating relationships and once athletes come to faith in Christ, we want to EQUIP them with God's Word so they can grow in Christ and help others know and grow in Him.

  3. 03EMPOWER

    Empower to Make Disciples

Once equipped, we EMPOWER athletes to help others experience salvation in Jesus, grow in their faith, and share Him with others. We desire to Engage, Equip, and Empower coaches and athletes to make disciples who do the same to others.

Sports as the Doorway

The trophy fades. The person remains.

Sports are extraordinary. They teach discipline, resilience, teamwork, and grit. But sports were never meant to carry the full weight of your child’s identity. FCA uses the game your athlete already loves as the doorway into the things that actually last.

Character

Shaped by adults who model integrity on and off the field.

Mentors

Coaches, staff, and older athletes who keep showing up.

Community

A team that loves them apart from playing time.

Faith

An honest space to wrestle with the biggest questions of life.

The Mission Field in Massachusetts

Nearly 687 schools. Your athlete is in one of them.

When one athlete encounters Jesus, the ripple reaches an entire locker room, classroom, lunch table — and dinner table. The transformation doesn’t stop at your front door. It often starts there.
